Monkey had picture night at Dance class. I let my inner dutchman shine through and shot the pictures myself.
Thunderbirds
The thunderbirds are in town for the AFA graduation. I managed to get a few shots.

when you get a close look at a moth like this, you fully understand why the Japanese pitted it against godzilla. as an experiment, the first few of these were shot with the flash at 1/250th of a second. I was going for frozen body, blurred wings. I think this is a white lined sphinx moth.
A Castle and some Raptors
Bishop’s castle and the pueblo raptor center were on the agenda for the day. Scott is in town, and he enjoyed the castle. The shot from the raptor center with the kestrel on the enclosure wall, he would do that to you if you got too close to the chicken wire. scared the crap out of us at first, and then turned into a game. the greeter cat, he has the loudest purr ever. he can be heard from 10 yards away.
Sky Sox Fireworks
While on a walk this evening, the sky sox finished the game and so we got to see the fireworks. enjoy!

Garden of the Gods, and visiting Family
My sister Rene and Her husband Rick are in town for a short visit. We have been doing the whirlwind tour of the sites in town. The wide shot of the peak is done in the surrealistic style HDR preset.
Flowers and Beavers

Hummingbird Festival
we dropped by the hummingbird festival today at Starsmore. The birds from the pueblo raptor center were there for a visit.
